Job Title: Trainee Plant Controller
Job Location: Redditch
Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Trainee Plant Controller to join our Plant team. You will be expected to arrange plant, tools and machinery for production teams across construction sites, initially under training and guidance. You will use best practice to deal with queries and orders in a professional, timely and cost-effective manner.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Undergo training with the Senior Plant Controller and wider team to coordinate and oversee plant requirements for a set region.
- Working closely with Site and Contracts Managers to ensure effective productivity.
- Coordinate and prepare weekly gas oil and diesel for plant and machinery across regional sites.
- Work with diesel suppliers to secure the best possible rates, ensuring service levels meet business requirements.
- Coordinate and prepare miscellaneous items for all regional sites including distribution of items across business (Magnus, Lapwing etc).
- Coordinate site mixer requirements under hire desk, ensuring business processes are followed.
- General administration and office duties to support the Plant department.
The Successful Applicant will:
- Have the ability to multi-task department needs, planning and prioritising and shifting priorities quickly in a fast-moving environment.
- Be proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel).
- Have previous experience delivering high-class customer service.
- Be GDPR competent.
