Job Title: Health and Safety Administrator

Job Location: Redditch

Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Health & Safety administrator with a meticulous approach to all things organisation and administration. We are seeking someone with previous administration experience within a busy, dynamic, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will work closely alongside the wider Health and Safety team, fostering a culture of safety consciousness across the business.

RM Contractors have been delivering quality residential groundworks and civil engineering services for almost 30 years. With regional offices in Worcestershire and Oxfordshire we're well placed to serve the UK's top house builders operating in the Midlands and Home Counties. Our ethos at RM Contractors is centred around building long-term working relationships with our clients and delivering projects to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare new project documentation packs
  • Complete onboarding competence, and other checks, for new operatives and for existing operatives who move sites and/or change duties
  • Booking in training where required
  • Supporting with Risk Assessments as required
  • Updating Health and Safety documents, paperwork and spreadsheets where necessary
  • Monitoring and actioning expiring site qualifications
  • Co-ordinating safety training
  • Maintaining accurate Health & Safety record systems
  • Issuing RAMS where required
  • Updating project folders where required
  • Recording accidents and incidents, reporting to HSE as required
  • Other administrative duties as required
The Successful Applicant will:
  • Be proficient in multi-tasking, planning and prioritisation, and well-versed in dealing with shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Have excellent administration and organisational skills.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Be a highly motivated individual, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to identify risks and find resolutions to problems that may arise.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the wider Health and Safety team, fostering a culture of safety consciousness across the business.
  • Be proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel).
  • Be GDPR competent.
  • Have a professional and punctual attitude, displaying a commitment to organisation and administration and contributing towards excellent Health and Safety standards at RM Contractors.
  • Ideally, have a background in Construction and/or Health & Safety.

  • Contract Type:  Permanent, Full-Time
  • Weekly Hours: 08:00 to 16:30 (or similar)
