Job Title: Hire Desk Controller

Job Location: Redditch, Worcestershire, UK

Job description

This is a great time to join RM Contractors as we continue to grow in a very competitive industry.

You will maintain the day-to-day hire desk as a lead hire desk controller, working within a small team under the Plant and Asset Manager. We will focus your development with scope to advance your career into a Hire Desk Manager position. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Hiring / Re – hiring and sourcing equipment from third party suppliers
  • Ensuring equipment is successfully delivered at designated dates/times and locations
  • Full ownership of resolving any queries or claims in a professional and efficient manner
  • Ensure all paperwork is always completed and kept up to date (orders/invoices etc...)
  • Support the plant team logging ad hoc queries (e.g. breakdowns)
  • Responsible for account control
The Successful Applicant will:
  • Have a proven track record as a hire desk controller or similar, within a construction environment
  • Have great customer service skills and a hands-on approach
  • Enjoy delivering a high-class service using product knowledge and expertise to fulfil programme demands whilst still being cost-effective
Hours and package:
  • Competitive salary - dependant on experience
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension Contribution
  • Hours – 7.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
