Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Estimator. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and tailored client quotations and calculate cost of materials, labour and support by providing feedback on forecasts, undertaking weekly site visits to capture all scope of works required.

The Successful Applicant will:

• Have previous estimator experience at a similar level within a similar environment
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
• English GCSE Grade 4/C, Level 2 Functional Skills, or equivalent
• Mathematics GCSE Grade 4/C, Level 2 Functional Skills, or equivalent

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing and managing budgets for groundworks projects.
• Conducting cost estimations, including pricing of materials and labour.
• Providing feedback on forecasts and recommendations for reducing costs.
• Carrying out monthly site visits to record progress and liaise with site teams on required information.
• Participating in on-site project team meetings where required (new job wins).
• Leading in evaluating and selecting subcontractors based on experience and pricing.
• Managing subcontractor relationships and ensure compliance with pricing requirements.
• Monitoring tender progress and assisting in identifying potential workflow and job wins.
• Formulating your own report for management when reviewing tender documentation.
• Encouraging alignment from all relevant parties on project goals.
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to address issues where required.
  

Package

o   Contract Type: Permanent

o   Weekly Hours: 07:30 to 17:00 (we are open to discussing reasonable adjustments)

o   Holiday Allowance: 23 days plus bank holidays, with additional holiday based on service. For part-time employees, holiday entitlement will be calculated on a pro-rata basis
