Job Title: Assistant Buyer
Job Location: Redditch
Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Assistant Buyer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day to day support to the buying team, helping the department to successfully fulfil the end-to-end process of sourcing construction materials for building projects.
The Successful Applicant will:
- Meet the qualifications and experience requirements outlined below.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Placing day to day material orders with suppliers.
- Providing up to date ETAs to site teams on live orders.
- Checking the correct items are delivered to site and on time.
- Arranging the collection of items when required.
- Handling invoice enquiries and escalate where appropriate.
- Conducting pricing exercises for surveyors.
- Developing and maintaining the drainage order system (Excel) to ensure the order process is streamlined.
- Updating internal systems with ex-yard and orders direct to site.
- Monitoring surplus list and utilising for cost savings.
- Completing a weekly review with the plant team to assess available materials in stock within the Head Office Yard.
Package
o Contract Type: Permanent
o Weekly Hours: 07:30am to 16:30pm (we are open to discussing reasonable adjustments)
o Holiday Allowance: 23 days plus bank holidays, with additional holiday based on service.
